Hemosponge Dental Cubes

The HEMOSPONGE is sterile, gelatin based sponge intended for direct application to bleeding surfaces as haemostatic. HEMOSPONGE is considered as first line of haemostatic, used to stop oozing blood from the bleeding surfaces where binding, suturing, cautering and other conventional method of hemostasis is either ineffective, not possible to use or too time consuming. The product can be left in situ or stoma or cavities to provide long term haemostasis effect. Product is also considered as most effective packing material which supports healing tissues. Mechanism:

Hemosponge Dental Cubes accelerates the natural clotting process by providing the surface to the platelets. The matrix of HEMOSPONGE works as external factor in activating clotting cascade. The moment, platelets of oozing blood comes in contact with matrix of HEMOSPONGE, it get self-activated to release series of blood clotting factors, accelerating natural clotting process

Highly Absorbent:

Matrix structure of HEMOSPONGE can hold around 40 – 45 times of its own weight of blood/body fluids within its structure, far higher than any non matrix (cotton) based products. In other words, 1 gram of sponge can absorb and holds 40 to 45 grams of blood or fluids within its matrix.
